Attorney R. Ford Francis has extensive experience with insurance defense litigation, including matters involving premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, toxic torts, products liability, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, civil rights and insurance bad faith.

Attorney David F. Nelson focuses on commercial litigation and product liability and premises liability litigation; state, local and municipal law; and claims involving automobile and property damage actions, toxic torts, coal mine accidents, residential fire losses, medical malpractice, wrongful termination and wrongful death.

Attorney M. Andrew Brison is an experienced trial lawyer, having served as lead local trial counsel for a Fortune 200 insurance company, litigated many matters involving insurance defense, insurance coverage and commercial disputes. A former prosecutor and a current municipal judge, Mr. Brison offers his services to defend government clients.

Attorney Jay Potter defends clients in cases involving complex factual issues that must be simplified for presentation to judges and juries, including commercial and environmental matters, medical malpractice claims and personal injury cases involving engineering issues.

Attorney David Venable Moore focuses on construction litigation and construction law; architectural and engineering claims of error, omissions, and defects; products liability; environmental law; divorce; personal injury; and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).

Attorney Bernie Cochran has predominately been involved defense litigation encompassing various areas of the law including: insurance defense and coverage issues, property damage, premises liability, products liability, and personal injury; administrative claims, including Worker's Compensation and Federal Black Lung claims; and, commercial practice including negotiation of contracts, operating agreements, real estate transactions, and collections of commercial accounts.

Attorney Paul L. Weber areas of practice include public sector defense (including Section 1983 claims), construction law, aviation law, medical malpractice and employment law (including wrongful discharge, discrimination and ADA claims).

Kimberly B. Weber practices general insurance defense litigation in the areas of public sector defense (including Section 1983 claims), personal injury and employment law, including wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment and ADA claims.

In addition to the above fields, our professional liability litigation attorneys represent individual clients at West Virginia professional licensing and disciplinary board hearings, and members of our education law practice represent school districts and school boards in a variety of matters.
